An Intimate Evening with Le Labo

COMMUNITY AND CRAFT

A journey through the commune of craftswomen and craftsmen who contribute to and shape le labo’s world... from the wood maker to the metal worker to the candle pourer to the lab technician to the rose picker to the illustrator... and oh yes, to the perfumer too!
— Manifesto, Le Labo Fragrances

Yes to all of the above. The art of community and craft is exactly what we experienced on the night of January 26th. In fact,  words cannot describe the energy of the room. Perhaps that is why Le Labo is in the fragrance business...to effortlessly evoke and stimulate the senses simultaneously. They have successfully established a name, footprint, a presence, a scent (hello Santal 33) that exceeds any other.

We believe fine perfumery must create a shock - the shock of the new, combined with the shock of the intimately familiar
— Manifesto, Le Labo Fragrances

This private event was  a platform for our guests to create / hear / smell / share stories, and to leave with memories that distinctly leave a mark. From the delicate Vegan (did you know Le Labo is a Vegan company?) bites by FRACT/ON Fare to the moody, yet sexy photography of Brandon LaJoie, the full experience was delicious. To cleanse the palate and tickle the tastebuds, we had the pleasure of working with Moet and Tribal Juice. Simplicity is key: served as is or in combination as a mimosa, our chilled beverage selection stood out to all. Step into the scene by exploring his photo gallery below. (We recommend you spend quality time on each photo to fully capture the quality and essence of the night.)

As a thank you, Le Labo graciously gifted each guest a bottle of their own. Taking them individually through the entire creation process, Paul (P.J.) and his team hand-crafted their favorite perfumes in the lab. Personalized and hand-wrapped in Le Labo's signature boxes, everyone walked away with a soulful fragrance that embodies a collaborative effort from start to finish. A collaborative effort that results in a better smelling place.

As with anything, intention is everything. Once again their Manifesto says it all: "We believe the soul of a fragrance comes from the intention with which it is created and the attention with which it is prepared."

We encourage you to visit Le Labo and close your eyes. By all means take photos first, but also take time to really take it all in. When you eliminate a dedicated sense, the other four begin to improve. As mentioned in Le Labo's extremely quotable and inspirational Manifesto, "We believe we/you should put away our modern tools and take the time to smell the roses along the way." Aka stop and smell the Rose 31
